Our Story

A Century of Courage in Mays Landing

Founded in 1918, Mizpah Volunteer Fire Company 18-2 was born from a simple conviction: that neighbors should protect neighbors. What began as a handful of volunteers with a hand-pumped engine has grown into one of Atlantic County's most respected fire companies.

Today, our 50+ volunteer members respond to hundreds of calls each year — from structure fires and vehicle accidents to medical emergencies and natural disaster response. We operate not for profit, but for the people who call this community home.

Community First

Every decision we make centers on protecting the people of Mays Landing and surrounding areas.

Excellence in Training

Our volunteers maintain the highest certification standards in the state of New Jersey.

Always Ready
